Christmas – Act of Love & Sharing Hope
"Christmas,
is not merely a season of giving gifts, but a symphony of sharing – sharing our
time, our love, and our blessings with those who need it the most.
We,
the Daughters of St. Paul at Bangalore, celebrated Christmas with acts of love,
by focusing on service and compassion. True to our mission, we embraced the
spirit of the season by reaching out to those in need and expressing gratitude
to our dedicated staffs. Our Christmas celebrations began with a heartwarming
visit to St. Joseph's Special School, a home for children with special needs.
We visited with the gifts and needed groceries expressed by them. Witnessing
the children's excitement as they received their presents was truly a humbling
experience. "Seeing their faces light up with joy made all the effort
worthwhile,".
"It's
important to recognize and appreciate the hard work of our team in our
mission," We also extended our Christmas cheer to our own dedicated
staffs, those who work tirelessly in our book center and kitchen. A festive
lunch was prepared which began with prayer and games, filled with laughter and
shared stories. "This lunch, prayer service filled with gratitude and Fun
filled games and gifts at last, was a small token of our thanks for their
dedication throughout the year." These acts of kindness exemplify the true
spirit of Christmas, as beautifully captured by the words of Mother Teresa:
"It's not how much we give, but how much love we put into giving."
We, the Daughters of St. Paul, believe that the greatest gift we can offer is
the gift of our time, love, and compassion.
As
the day drew to a close, a sense of peace and contentment settled over
everyone. The event had not just been a celebration; it had been a poignant
reminder of the profound impact of compassion and hope, the enduring power of
human connection, and the spirit of Christmas – a spirit that transcends the
holiday season, inspiring acts of kindness and goodwill throughout the year
which witnessed as different groups visited our community with Carol singing.
